Redecorating a vintage bathroom

A lot of folks by an older home that has had an unfortunate remodel from the seventh. They may want to try to recapture the looks of the 1920s bathroom but with modern fixtures.

There are a number of companies that sell vintage and antique looking modern fixtures, but if you're going for the real C, Seattle has a great salvage store in soda call.

There you will find a number of vintage sinks bathtubs and toilets in colors from the 20s 30s 40s up into modern-day times of plain white.

You can visit online, or go to the store on 4th Ave., South. The website is HTtP;\/\www.curtweiss.com

Seward Park L'herbe Faux

I did a double take while strolling near Seward Park the other day. What I thought was a luscious lawn in front of this vintage 1920s brick tutor was, upon closer examination, some faux grass that have been installed in the front yard. Is it for kids? Dogs? Or just for it's infinite  green good looks? I can't tell if it's cool or tacky. But it's there now, and looks like it will be there for a very, very long time.

Spotted in South Park in South Seattle

While driving through South Park a few days ago, I spotted this magical unicorn on the top of a vintage craftsman bungalow home on the main street going into the village. What a hoot! I can only imagine what delightful characters live inside this vintage home. I almost knocked on the door to get the story, but was running out of time. Next time I visit South Park though I'm going to stop by and say hello!

Turkish patchwork rugs for your Seattle Bungalow

The tradition of rug making in modern-day turkey dates back hundreds of years. Influenced by nature and surrounding scenery, rugs were woven with floral designs, geometric shapes and simple stripes.

This style of rug looks great in a Craftsman Bungalow with the dark wood and wooden floors and simple easy lines.
